1/ إن المنشأ الرئيسي للنفاق ( بمعنى إظهار خلاف ما يبطنه الفرد ) هي : الرغبة الشديدة للعبد في أن يكون محمود السمعة بين العباد ، اما : حباً لحسن الذكر ، او مقدمة للوصول الى متاع الدنيا بواسطة الوجاهة بين الخلق.. ومن دوافع ذلك أنه يرى ان باطنه لو انكشف على الخلق لفروا منه ، وعليه فإنه يضطر دائما لتصنع الصلاح.
The origin of hypocrisy (defined as showing the opposite of what one hides) is man’s intense desire to be reputable among people either out of love for repute or as a to! ol to acquire temporal possessions by gaining esteem among people. One of the motives for this is the fear of revealing of his repulsive inside and that is why he must always assume righteousness.

2/ ان من منن الله تعالى على عبده أن ستر على باطنه ، فمثل الملكات الخبيثة فيه كجيفة منتنة مجمدة ، لا تظهر رائحتها الكريهة الا عندما تذوب .. ومن هنا كان يوم القيامة هو اليوم الذي تبلى فيه السرائر.. فلنحسن سرائرنا قبل ان ننفضح على رؤوس الاشهاد.
One of Allah’s blessings upon man is the covering of his inside;the wicked natural dispositions in him are like a stinking frozen corpse the stench of which does not come out unless it thaws. This is the reason why the day of final judgment is the day when the secrets are tried. So, let us better our secrets before we are disgraced in public

3/روي عن علي (ع) انه قال: ( عظم الخالق في انفسهم ، فصغر ما دونه في اعنيهم) ..وبالبرهان المنطقي نعلم أن من كبر ما دون الله في عينه ، فقد صغر الخالق في نفسه!.. ان الالتفات لهذه المعادلة المخيفة ، من دوافع عدم الاهتمام بنظرة الناس واحترامهم ، وهي خطوة أولى للتخلص من النفاق.
‘Alee (as) had said, “Allah has become great in their minds, so anything below Him becomes smaller in their eyes”; and through logical proof we know that the reverse is true! Understanding this horrible equation is an incentive for us to attach little importance to people’s views and their appreciation, which is the first step to free oneself form hypocrisy.

4/إن من موجبات النفاق وتصنع الصلاح الكاذب ، هي عقدة الحقارة .. فقد روي عن علي (ع) انه قال: ( نفاق المرء من ذل يجده في نفسه ).. والذي لا يرى في داخله رصيدا من الملكات الصالحة ، يبحث عن الرصيد الخارجي من ثناء الآخرين ، وبذلك يغفل عن عمارة الباطن الذي يحاسب على اساسه ويبقى معه ابد الابدين ، وينشغل بالصور الذهنية الجميلة في نفوس الغير ( وهي واقع الشهرة ) .. وهل النفوس باقية لتبقى معها تلك الصور الخيالية؟..
Among the causes of hypocrisy and falsely assuming righteousness is the inferiority complex. ‘Alee (as) had said, “Hypocrisy originate from a feeling of lowness”. The one who does not have a ‘balance’ of gifts inside him will look for the outside ‘balance’ in people praise. ! Thus, he will neglect building the inside for which he will be held accountable for ever, instead he will be concerned about the fine mental images of others’ minds (which is the reality of fame), which do not last as minds do not last.

5/ إن من مظاهر النفاق ، هوالنفاق الوظيفي : وهو ان يعطي الانسان لنفسه صورة حسنة في المجال الوظيفي ، والحال انه يعلم بانه لم يلتزم بشروط العقد.. وهي خيانة توجب حرمة المال الذي يأخذه..
One aspect of hypocrisy is the job hypocrisy, and that is when someone assumes a good attitude in his workplace while he knows that he is not adhering to the provisions of the contract, which is considered a breach of faith that makes his gain illegitimate.

6/ وهناك النفاق الاسري : وهو ان يظهر كلمات الود لأهله ، والحال انه يخونها في الغيب : بنظرة محرمة ، او بلقاء محرم.. وهو لا يعلم ان الله تعالى - لو اراد - فإنه يفضح الانسان في جوف بيته .. فكما يستر العيوب لمصلحة ، فانه يكشفها لمصلحة اخرى ايضا!.
And there is thefamily hypocrisy, and that is when someone shows love to his wife while he cheats on her by an unlawful look or meeting, not knowing that if Allah wished, He would uncover his faults within his house, and as Allah hides faults for a good cause, He also uncovers them for a good cause

7/ وهناك النفاق الاجتماعي : بمعنى ان يظهر المدح والثناء لشخص في حضوره ليطعنه في الخلف في غيبته.. وقد وصف النبي (ص) هذا الصنف بأن الله تعالى لا ينظر اليهم يوم القيامة، وذلك لانه يدل على حقارة في النفس ، والله تعالى كريم لا يعبأ باللئيم.
And there is the social hypocrisy, and that is when someone praises another in his presence only to defame him in his absence. The prophet (s) had said that Allah would not have mercy on this kind of people because of their meanness for Allah is noble and does not care about the ignoble man.

8/ وهناك النفاق العلمي : بان يظهر الانسان مقدرته في الجانب العلمي ، وهو ليس اهلا له ، وخاصة في المجال الديني .. فترى كثيرا يظهرون اراءهم في امور الدين وهم لم يطلعوا على النصوص الشرعية التي على اساسها يتم الحكم ، والحال انهم لا يتدخلون في التخصصات الاخرى احتراما لها .. فهل ان الدين - وهو مرتبط بالغيب - اقل اهمية من علوم الطبيعة ، وهي مرتبطة بعالم الحس؟..
And there is the science hypocrisy; and that is by assuming scientific competence without being qualified especially regarding religion. And so you see many people discuss religious matters without acquiring the necessary knowledge while they do not interfere in other specialties out of respect for them. Is religion then! -being associated with the supernatural- less important than the natural sciences, which are associated with the material world? man.

9/ وهناك النفاق العبادي : وهو ان يظهر بمظهر الملتزمين ويستبطن المخالفة في السر ، بل يتظاهر بدرجة من الخشوع في الظاهر زيادة عما في باطنه.. وقد روي عن النبي (ص) انه قال: ( ما زاد خشوع الجسد على ما في القلب فهو عندنا نفاق ).. ان على المؤمن ان يكتم حالاته القلبية ، لئلا يصاب بالعجب من ناحية ، ولئلا يتخذ ذلك وسيلة لاظهار الفضل على العباد..
And there is the worship hypocrisy, which is assuming religious commitment while being disobedient in secret. Furthermore, one may show submission in excess of what he is really experiencing. The Prophet (s) had said, “The excess of the body’s submission over that of the heart is considered hypocrisy by us”. The believer must hide his hear! ty states so as to avoid being afflicted with pride on one hand and not to show superiority over fellow believers on the otherworld?

10/ إن من علامات المنافق : الارتباك ، والتذبذب في المواقف ، لانه يتحرك على وفق المصالح المرحلية ، فلا يعيش حالة المبدأية في الحياة .. ومن المعلوم ان الانسان المصلحي لا قيمة له حتى عند اصحاب المصالح .
Among the characteristics of the hypocrite is confusion and uncertaintybecause his acts are based on temporary gains and not on fundamental concepts. It is known that even people he is seeking benefit from does not respect the one who seeks personal benefits

11/ إن من علامات المنافق : انه ينشط مع الناس ويكسل اذا كان وحده.. فالذي يهمه رأي الناس فيه ،يبرمج حياته على اساس كسب الوجاهة الاجتماعية.. وكم تكون خسارته يوم القيامة عندما لا يجد مغيثا ممن كسب رضاه في الدنيا !.
Another characteristic of the hypocrite is displaying energy in public and being negligent in private. For the one who cares about what people think about himwill set his life goals on acquiring social esteem. How big will his loss be on the Day of Judgment when those whom he was seeking to satisfy will not be there for him?

12/ ان الذي يحب حسن الذكر فليسلم امره الى الله تعالى ، فهو الذي ادرى بمصلحة الشهرة او عكسه.. وهو الذي لو اراد ان يروّج لعبد من عبيده نشر ذكره في الافاق ، فهذا اسم نبيه المصطفى (ص) يقترن باسمه في : الأذان ، والصلاة ، والشهادتين .. او ليس هذا هو الخلود في الذكر، فلم نبحث عنه عند غير الخالد؟..
Let the one who loves praise submit to Allah, for He is the one who better knows the benefit of fame and obscurity and He is the one who can make someone famous if He wishes to. Here it is the name of the Prophet Mohammad (s) linked to Allah’s name in Athaan (prayer call), Salat (prayer) and Shahada (doctrinal formula). Isn’t this attaining eternity of reputation, so! why look for it with other than The Eternal (Allah)?
